I'm really not trying to offend anyone, but this is beyond silly. Some are acting like this is the NCAA and some major violation has been broken. I have coached a long tie on this level and have seen my fair share of what you are calling unscrupulous( ) recruiting. Sh!t, I coached a last minute team of 18 misfits last year, and wouldn't you know it, teams have been trying to recruit them for their team this year. Funny, those same teams that are recruiting them, wouldn't dare play a game against those rag tag 18 last year. You can't control where players decide to play, and if you are fearful of someone stealing them, then obviously there's something lacking in your own program or your ability to coachem up. Let them go and schedule a game against them, show them what time it is. If you are confident in your abilitites and your program, you shouldn't worry about the so called scavengers. It's a waste of time to spend energy criticizing another program for allegedly recruiting players. Players play where they feel they benefit most, however that is. If that's for you great, if it's for someone else, so be it. I've said it before and I'll say it again, some are really taking this semi/minor league control thing way too far. Just play the damn game or shut up...and that's not intended for anyone it's just standard protocol.

I am fully aware that players will play for whichever team they choose. My belief is that after a teams season is over their players are free agents and open for recruitiment. My beef is with individuals who come to other teams practices and games and try to recruit them during their current teams season. I find that to be weak and unscrupulous. This has never been about being afraid of losing players. Anyone who has played for me will tell you that I don't care if they play for me or not. I gotta get the team ready either way and I am going to do that as well as I can. For me there is an ethical way to do it and a shady way. I appreciate your input coach. I have always thought you to be the most imaginative and motivating coach in our little world of adult amateur football here in the northwest. Regards.

Cobras please schedule Bellingham or Monarchs in 2011!!!
Two good semi-pro teams...I know they won't back down!
Good teams play good teams!!!!

Men in Black, you are late! We already tried playing the Monarchs, they declined for certain reasons. We were close to having a game with Bellingham, but the schedules didnt work, Bellingham was on a mission to win a National Chip. We have been trying to play the best out there all last season...

Maty, as coaches on this level of football we don't get much appreciation or gratitude, so I thankyou for your regard toward me. I know how hard you work to build your program, clearly a model program for all of us to admire. Believe me, when I say I feel your pain. You as a superior coach, with a highly recognized program have every right to voice your frustration to the undermining that happens. Just don't let it get you off focus. Whoever is doing it, clearly won't admit to it, and those who don't know what an excellent program you have, get the wrong impression.

Thanks for the kind words coach. I see your point and hopefully some people have seen mine. I had to step away from the Shockers so I turned the team over lock stock and barrel to 3 guys who played for me and who love the game. I am still involved from a recruiting and consulting standpoint but won't be on the sidelines for the forseeable future. Good luck on the upcomoing season.

BAD PUBLICITY = good PUBLICITY, So when you keep threads going all the time, your just bringing more focus to the cobras organization.
