It looks like they will be back for a 3rd season with some new teams and some changes. The coach from the Olympia team was recently interviewed on a radio station in Centralia/Chehalis and indicated that they are now going to represent Lewis County rather than Thurston County. Here is the transcript of the interview.
KELA EVERGREEN JOURNAL Tuesday, November 24, 2010
I’m Bruce Hunting with the KELA Evergreen Journal.
The Twin Cities and Lewis County have some of the most competitive high school football teams in the state, but what happens after prep football stars graduate? Some immediately go off to play at four-year colleges, but what about those who don’t get noticed and slip through the cracks?
NWCCFL 1 :21 “…the game that they love to play.”
Joe Stinton is the head coach of the South Sound team in the two-year-old Northwest Community College Football League. South Sound’s non-varsity program has been based in Olympia since 2009, but Stinton wants to bring his team south to represent Centralia College next season…
NWCCFL 2 :38 “…a bit different than the people up north.”
South Sound’s roster this year included a number of former local prep football stars, including Kyle Grosshans and Jered Rogers from Adna, Napavine’s Paul Fitzgerald and a couple of Centralia High School products…
NWCCFL3 :19 “…football players, but they’re better men.”
Coach Stinton says Ingles, who is attending Centralia College, has drawn the interest of Southern Virginia University’s football program…
NWCCFL5 :30 “…that he has a 3.0 GPA right here in town.”
While he is seeking a local football stadium to bring community college football to Lewis County, Coach Stinton thinks that fans who would come to watch a new Centralia College club team play will like what they see…
NWCCFL6 :15 “…and trying to get them to the next level.”
For details, you can reach Joe Stinton at 360-888-7978.
With the KELA Evergreen Journal, I’m Bruce Hunting.

I dont see the harm in these young men playing JC Ball out here as long as they know the difference between that and REAL JC Ball. People need to stop making such a fuss over this...

I was not at the game. But, I know several people that were there. The refs did not walk off the field in the third quarter, the game was called with less than a minute remaining.
From what I hear, the refs in this game were making some ridiculous calls and were also baiting players from Green River to start arguments by using racial slurs towards them.
I am not sure who these referees were, but they were not the usual four NCAA and three, top-level, high school referees that the NWCCFL uses for it's regular season games.
I am not sure if this had anything to do with Kory Hill's dislike for Green River's head coach, but it's awful suspicious that he tried to fold the league the week following this game in which these mystery refs were used.
Regardless, the league is now in much better hands with a newly elected board of directors and mistakes from the past will not be repeated.
@duante- At some point, just like with semi-pro ball, kids start to eat up eligibility. Our goal is to send as many kids off to four-year schools to play ball as possible. Keeping kids for more than two or three years takes away that opportunity from the younger kids that are coming up. I would much rather have an 18-19 year old kid playing for me than a 23-24 year old kid. Most likely the 18-19 year old has a much better chance at getting a scholarship to a four-year school.

@mikey.. If I let that information go, I couldn't come on here and talk smack...lol j/k I am the head coach of the Everett team, Tim Dennis. Head coach of a team that doesnt exactly exists? LMAO and the I didnt get in for you comment OMG!! I couldnt stop laughing! I would really go into details but you are not worth it! Funny thing was th competition was happy to pick off and beat up Darren all day and thats why they won 13-6! Mr Dennis, I hope one day you understand how misleading someone's child is wrong because the parents at the "CHAMPIONSHIP GAME" were mostly irrate because they were being told by their kids this was all NCAA sanctioned and LEGITIMATELY JC BALL not just "JC" ball by your standards!

Duante, you don't get it. So, rather than argue with you, I will invite you to come to a practice. That way, you can see for yourself that none of the 30 plus kids that are already working out for me are being lied to about anything.
If you would like to come to a practice, send me a private message and I will give you the details. We are practicing through December 18th and then will shut it down until April when spring practices begin.

If your a club team... Then Everett CC students have to coach, arrange transportation, play, Etc
Club teams are created by the students of the school. Not a 50 year old guy trying to bring back JC football and to create money in his pocket?

@mikey.. I think you need to go back to school and learn proper grammer..
I don't have to defend my coaching credentials or the league. We know what we are doing and if you think anybody is "creating money for their pockets", you are sadly mistaken. The ones that are making money off of this is the schools, who are getting more kids enrolled because of the NWCCFL.

This will be my last post on this forum. I originally came on here to try to educate the people who genuinely wanted to learn more about the NWCCFL before they passed judgement. However, while I respect those folks, there are clearly a few idiots on here that are going to bash anything that they can't be a part of.. So, I wish you all the best of luck with your teams' and if anyone wants to learn more about the NWCCFL, don't hesitate to look us up on Facebook or call me personally.
