The game played against the Chiefs in 1996 the Jets won because the game was called at half time as their was a death by one of our staffs fathers in the stands from an apparent heart attack. The Chiefs and Jets never met on the field in 1996. Chiefs @ Jets, July 27, 1996 - the Jets forfeited - I think because they could not find a field. Jets @ Chiefs, September 14, 1996 - the Chiefs' owner saw no purpose in playing the Jets so he, against the wishes of his players, turned the table on the suddenly resurgent Jets.

A coaching win goes to the active head coach regardless of if he was at the game or not. That is how it is done on the pro and college level.
The head coach of record gets the win or loss. It's his team and his plan. His physical presence is not required.
In fact, years ago, Duke coach krzyzewski's wife wanted to protest a coaching loss he obtained when he was absent. But it remained on his record because he was the head coach of the team.
Something to think about.
Coaching is not just about game day. It's about the plan in place, preparation, strategy, etc. And a lot of that is done prior to an actual game.

Mark there were NO forfeits for any games that Kenny was coach. Steve McDaniel only held practices in Silverdale during the week for the players that lived there. The majority of the players came from this side of the water and Kenny held practices over here at Tyee H.S. McDaniel never called a game for the Saints in 2004. Les called plays when we were up by more than 20 pts. The website that bipolar Larry was referring to was for sponsors only to see to attract money into the team so that Mike didnt have to come up with all the $. Ask Purser who called the games, ask Keith Jones, ask Jacoba........Kenny was THE coach of the Saints period. Moody is just butt hurt because Moreno basically took his job. I wanted to say something, but I resisted. Now that my name was brought in it, I have to say something. Yeah Doc, I was with the Saints in the beginning of the 04 season when I first returned from L.A. To ME, it seemed like Kenny was the coach. I didnt even really know the other guy...
