We often get caught up in competition and forget that this is just a game. A game we are fortunate to play and should not be taken for granted. Please read this story about a Roseburg Rampage player and donate to the cause if you can. www.gofundme.com/ForVictorOn April 26, 2014 Victor sustained a serious injury during a Semi-pro football game. He was involved in a helmet to helmet collision. His C5 vertebrae was broken and he is currently paralyzed from the chest down. Victor has undergone one surgery and may require more in the future. He is being cared for in ICU now and will undergo extensive physical therapy in the future with an unknown long term prognosis. On a personal note, he is 23 years old and he and Corina are expecting their first baby, a little girl, in August. This accident has turned their lives upside down. He is clearly not able to work and Corina needs to be by his side. The expenses are astronomical. Medical bills will begin coming and will be extensive. They also need help for basic expenses during his recovery. Corina requires, housing, food, basic needs as well as help with the cost of travel to and from home in Roseburg and the hospital where he is located 100 miles away in Medford so she can take care of things as needed. The list goes on. This couple has a long road ahead of them. Their spirits are high and they need everyones help in order to keep them there. A passion for the game runs deep for Victor. He feels it saved him from following the wrong paths in his highschool years and this has not crushed his love of football. EVERY dollar will make a difference for this family. Thank you!
