I realize not everyone played anything higher than High School Football but I'm proposing we as a league at least get out of the old High School ways. Lining up on the 50-yard line post game is obnoxious, embarrassing and ridiculous. Please watch what it should look like (followed by a quick prayer for those interested):

I could care less about the hand shake. Its done because its a tradition or maybe just what's always been done. I do like meeting in the middle for the prayer and getting to talk with friends and unwind after the game. AS a player I enjoyed the game and played for fun so I would BS during the game too. As a coach I do miss that interaction. If its to be changed it would have to be done through the owners and emailed out to all teams. this isn't the first time this has come up.

Good luck with that. When I was coaching the Shockers in 2006 and 2007 we tried to get the other PNFC teams to stop lining up like little leaguers after the game, but we could never get it done. I hope you guys are successful in changing the culture. When I first started out in the NFA in the mid 1980's we didn't line up to shake hands. We did it college style. The prayer huddle started out as a few of the christian guys fellowshipping after games and it was actually quite small. On the teams I coached I always told them it was purely their choice to participate or not. I always chose not to. It use to be okay because it was spontaneous. Anyway good luck with your season.

Wow. Haven't been on here in over a year. But, officially, there is no rule requiring any sort of handshake, meeting, prayer, etc. in the PFL. If you want to do it, then do. If you don't, don't. I haven't done it in years but that was because I was trying to get a head start on clean up after the game.
