Nick, I know your not serious, but I know you. I just don't want you to get the bad reputation with people who don't know you. Your a stand up guy and I would go to war with you whenever, where ever.
Daunte, I am not mad that we didn't get to play. Like Nick said, I thought it would have been comical to possibly force a GNFA game when there is the whole PFL boycotting the PDFL thing. I still dont see how I wasn't being humble. I guess sometimes telling the truth is not being humble
Chris, I love your idea about a tournament. My dad saw your post and about called your to give you the Boltz deposit. It was so funny. Speaking of, check your inbox.

It really sucks for me as I am chasing some National Records. I may only get 4 games this year. It has been a wasted summer. This statement alone summarizes my motivations and my opinions. I know more than any active player today how that window of opportunity to play football closes with every year until one morning you wake up and that window is closed, nailed shut and the blinds are pulled down never to be opened again. The players are always the ones who are hurt the most by these fly-by-night ventures making big promises. Like you said Russ...a wasted summer for you. What about for the guys who will wake up after Christmas and realize their bodies are done and 2013 was their final season? Or in the case of a bunch of guys who played with me on the Shockers from Ft. Lewis...they only got one season before their number was called to be shipped overseas. Those are the guys I go to battle for and encourage to STAY WITH STABILITY. If you only have one season left wouldn't you want it to be a fun one and a long one without wondering "will we have a game this week or not"? I want to see Russ shatter the National Records, just like Jackie Triplett wrote himself into the sack records. Bring that attention to the Northwest that there is some really good football being played and that the teams aren't just one-and-done collections of talent. That dynasties can be built and maintained. The last true dynasty was the Seattle Cavaliers which ended in 1990 after 33 consecutive years. The Pierce County Bengals are the current "streak dynasty" (25 consecutive years) but not the recognized power team of old. So what if the Monarchs were raging through the competition the past 4-5 years? That's the lifespan of a college athlete. What happens when that core group of guys retires? When Russ retires? Things change, team dynamics change. There's no guarantee 2013 or 2014 would have been continued domination by the Monarchs. An injury here or there, the match up of a stellar defensive scheme shutting down the Monarchs passing game and a loss could have been a guarantee. Egos can get in the way of rational thinking sometimes. Look at the Miami Hurricanes and their home-game winning streak. Nobody in their right mind ever thought the Washington Huskies would walk into the Orange Bowl and be the team to take down the mighty 'Canes. It shook the Hurricanes, showed the rest of the teams they weren't unbeatable. Are they still a dynasty? I'm a proponent of build the dynasty team and force others to RISE up to your level rather than have the dynasty torn down either from within or outside forces. They had a great run, but they never won 57 games in a row. That would be my goal. Be on the team that can etch their name at 58 games in a row. At the rate the PDFL is going, it will take the Boltz 14 years of going undefeated to win 57 games! Bottom line for you players....you only have a limited time to play this game. The PDFL has a 4 year track record of coming up short. The PFL has the combined knowledge of people from 5 different leagues under one umbrella working to make sure things come off the way they are advertised. 90% of the time there is no guessing what will happen from week to week. That stability will keep you from wasting a summer.
