Yep. Getting old(er). These young cats these days aren't like the Basingers, Griggs or Rico's I used to know. Everyone wants to run deep, majority are tiny and short, some teams don't have quality QB's so you don't even have to focus on the WR, their routes suck, and are to predictable. Just not like the NWFL days!!! this is my last year too, the getting old part sucks. Hopefully the pfl can bring back what once was the nwfl. You should come back next year and run the players association, or be a league rep. Why would someone who doesn't know what the NWFL was want to bring it back? Aside from the nostalgia, it was an autocratic entity that only allowed certain people to become a part of it, regardless of their knowledge, resources, or possible benefit to the profiteers running it. There was a $10,000 entrance fee at one time, yet nobody was every forced to show where that money went, or to whom it paid their personal bills. When some prospects asked to see the NWFL books and where the league dues were spent, they were told they had to pay the fee to find out where the fees went. Does that sound legit?? The NWFL was the only game in town for a long time until some rebels jumped shipped and decided they could do something better...when that happened, the NWFL brass lost control of their empire and the semi pro world changed....it opened the door to Oregon...long thought to be sub par to the mighty NWFL. It opened the Eastern Washington League....and teams that could compete with the Western Teams. Those rebels broke the chains of the NWFL and to be honest...it's old school ghetto ways, and forced teams to go after the college athletes and not the high schoolers who had pissed away their chances at college...it went back to the NFA days of JUCO players and NAIA and D2 players....the way it should have been.

structurally there has been no league that has ever been perfect. but is it better to have one league with problems or many leagues that all have issues. You could be right about the nostalgia, when you remember the past you topically remember lopsided views. I enjoyed my time with the Cavs and the NWFL so my memory may be byes, The NWFL may have had some problems, and I know you had your fall out and started the PNFC. but I still think the competition on the field was all around better. and yes you have more history with NW football but that's because you played 20yrs longer then me. I played 6 yrs in the NWFL for one team, and know 4 yrs with the bearcats . The PFL is making strides towards a level playing field and competitive games hopefully with the help of good ownership and player involvement we can improve. But the NWFL is still around and has had its down time before. but Ron has always keep it going. In the NWFL to start a team you had to put money down and have your own equipment. If you have something invested you are more likely to make it work. So many teams now don't own anything some not even the jerseys. Its easy to start a team or walk away when you have nothing invested. Look at the NWFL teams that owned equipment Vikings, Cavs, Bengals, T-bolts, Raiders, Jags, saints, all played for many years, and most still here today. Most teams today make you buy all your own stuff to play. Not too many teams with not much invested won't last more then 4 or 5 years at best. I understand you had your issues with the NWFL and I can't say much either because I helped start the PFL instead of going back to our roots and investing in the NWFL. But when the NWFL was the only game in town the quality was better and teams had more then 15 guys. you never would have seen the over population of teams in one area. That was the issue why you and dick started the PNFC, the NWFL Voted not to allow 2 teams in the Olympia area. especially one started out of spite against another team. sad thing is you guys blamed the Cavs and Ron for not getting in. Ron did not vote and the cavs voted yes. every other team voted no. I'm sure there is still some old vets that were in that room that will agree. I wonder how different things would be today if Matty had been the coach of the cavs or if they would have allowed the shockers in. Would the PNFC have started the on-slot of multiple leagues. Nobody questions Matty and your success with the shockers and ability to run a team but, look whats left. Cavs are still here and shockers are now gone. The one thing Don and I have done with the Bearcats is planned for the future. When we step away the Bearcats will be in good hands and we will have left the tools in place to keep its traditions alive.

Word on the street and confirmed by various Cobra players, that they are no longer operating. With this said, where are all the players going and what of a new PDFL? Or did the Cobras declare themselves PDFL champs again this year for a 4th year paper championship? YOU KNOW half of them are suiting up Saturday for YOU! lol Y'all are going to be stacked now!!! NO BUENO! Good recruiting JERK!

You talking about them suiting up for the Stallions? I did see a couple Cobra names on their roster. You got to do what you got to do to win...haha. No different then last year when the Cobras had problems and the players went running to teams. GARBAGE!!!

I concur. That all stops next season I'm sure. Big things happening. Y'all will get that chance to play against a lot of the Cobras NEXT SEASON, it will be on, and I will rarely be on here. I know y'all will miss me.

Guess the WWFA allows teams to pick up whoever whenever so shit since the stallions did it the Shine who I think will play them for the ship might as well go snag the best of what the Raiders and viper's got to offer to load up their squad since those two teams season will be over soon. Once again GARBAGE but win at any cost seems to be the motto. I would rather lose with my family that I fought all season with then grab a bunch of guys that didn't put in work to win.

Wow! It's a good thing the Stallions picked up more talent to take on these tough WWFA teams. I foresee some exciting Stallion games blowing out teams 70-0. Exciting!

Jenkins of course Stallions should win out regardless, the only competition is the Shine. Monarchs will be busy with the playoffs where as the Viper's are done for the season. hopefully they will have a game between both leagues, I know several players on your team and always enjoyed their comp. You handle your business and I'll handle mine and we'll see where that leads us.

It ain't THAT important for me to play the Monarchs! Lol, I just wanted to play them with my CURRENT team, I don't HAVE to play them to complete myself. I do respect other winning organizations, and would have loved to get our teams together on the field of play. We have to worry about the Islanders again first. Well as my football comes to an ending I on the other hand feel the emptiness of not facing the Cobras. So have em get a flag team and that will be good enough...LMAO Been there, done that. Lost in the CHAMPIONSHIP game to Nate Robinsons team, 27-21. His team blew EVERY team out by 30 or 40. We held the lead most of the game... Cobras reciever Brandon Stout going for the sack on Nate Robinson Cobras OG Robert Simpson (6'5 400lbs) leaning on Nate Robinson giving Cobras legendary qb Adam Kruse all day...
