Oh, and Islanders again. Maybe our form of a Championship, especially after our first game.

It's only a matter of time now the rest of these teams will fill up with Cobras bailing and, if you condone that type of thing, something is wrong with your thinking. Put your hatred for us aside a minute. What if it were anyone BUT us? What if it was YOUR team? You work your ass off to get a complete schedule, then cuz a team is doing better than they expected, they drop out of a game vs a team who is very talented and could give them their first L and hurt a player or 2? Bad reason, and bad business. Just MY opinion. Not of my team. But I, myself, think its bullshit.

goals change. League games are now more important than a meaningless non-league game. at least you got 2 weeks notice to fill in with someone else. some teams don't get 2 days notice.
The RMFL teams wind down their season on the 16th. Many non-playoff teams to get replacement games with.

Fuck that. I understand goals, but I believe if you agree to something, you should HONOR that. That's all I'm saying.

MUCH props to the Bulldogs who followed through with their commitment. They could have done that too, they lost a player or 2 against us, but they weren't SCARED.

Fuck that. I understand goals, but I believe if you agree to something, you should HONOR that. That's all I'm saying. I agree with honoring a schedule as well. But, todays culture isn't that way. It's a ME culture and what's best for ME today. Minor league football is a microcosm of today's culture. One thing I always loved about having a bunch of teammates from the military...they knew what the word TEAM meant.

You say forfeit, I say cancel or maybe even reschedule. And for the record I called you on the 25th giving you a little over 3 weeks.
I spoke with my ownership comity and the negatives of playing this game far out weighed the positives. We are not scared, we have nothing to be scared of. If we were to lose the game than big deal, the game was no more than an schedule filling exhibition game. We took the game when we needed a 5th home game for our home schedule, but now that we are very close to securing a home playoff game our game with the Cobras became expendable.
I felt as though I had to do right by my team. We have a talented team right now that has a legitimate shot of making a run deep into the PFL playoffs, and the PFL championship is our sole goal for the season. If we were to lose just one guy in this meaningless game that would hurt our chances of our goal than I would have a hard time letting that go.
Their are several other factors that I will not go into that also led us to making this decision, I did tell the Cobras organization that if the Mavericks were to win the PFL championship we would figure out a way to play them this season, but right now our sole focas is the PFL.

Like I said, I understand goals, but you should have had the same goals when y'all agreed to play the damn game. That's what I'm saying. And yes, it IS scared if you won't play cuz you are worried about losing a player to injury. Call it a meaningless game all you want, but y'all STILL agreed to play this game. Bad business to "cancel" or "postpone" a game scheduled MONTHS ago.

I wish the rest of your organization felt the same way... still waiting over here... D Sent from my DROID BIONIC using ProBoards Don, that ain't ME. You know who to talk to about that. But it is you man. You are a part of an organization, everything that someone does or doesnt do reflects on the whole organization, from players all the way up to the owners. Its utter bullshit, and I have talked to Theo, and yet still we sit unpaid, nearly two fucking months later..... all i get is finger pointing, not me, im doing my job so im just gonna put my head in the sand and fucking ignore it. SHIT like this is why people like to diss you guys or as you say always against you. If you as an organization cant even pay simple bills how are other teams suppose to take you seriously. Attitude reflects leadership! D Sent from my DROID BIONIC using ProBoards
