Lol, although I HATE losing more than ANYONE, I always face the music and take my medicine. We had a bad performance offensively against the Islanders and asked way too much of our defense to keep us in the game. We play them again soon, we agreed on a home and away series. But yeah, guys who know me personally know I am the worst loser. If you get used to losing you begin to accept it.

I know for a fact a lot of guys are changing teams and aligning themselves for a playoff push on their new teams. This ALSO means a lot of people aren't going to get on here and just BASH their former teams even if they may have the desire. says alot about today's semi pro player. Switch teams to the "pretty" team then when the team is not so pretty anymore, jump ship to the next team. One of the major reasons I can't stand the NFL since free agency. Sad part is it has trickled into college, players quitting and leaving for another college when they don't crack the starting lineup by their sophomore year. Today's athletes have no loyalty. Welcome to the result of giving everyone a trophy growing up whether they earned it or just sucked...

That's why there's a bunch of garbage teams saturated in one area. Don't like one team, leave and start another one rather than make the current one better Loyalty means staying where you started not "aligning themselves for a playoff push". That sounds like ring chasing to me and it's weak. But, then again I would expect your response considering you have been on 6 teams in 6 years. How long before we see a team started by Duante so we can all see how it's done? Maybe the TEAM isn't the problem...maybe it's the PLAYER who is jumping from team to team.

I kind of feel you on that politician. Great points made. No team loyalty nowadays, cuz its too many teams now. In the hayday of NW football there were only like 10 teams in the whole NW. A lot harder to jump ship back then.

how would you propose to stop it toro? we see it all too much lately, some 4th string tight end pissed off about playing time goes and starts his own team then after a year or two discovers what everyone tried to tell him, it costs a lot of money to run a team and they forfeit, fold up or just abandon the team or his ego rubs the players wrong and they go start another team and the snowball keeps on rolling.

There really is no way to stop someone from forming their own team if they chose to. The PFL has it halfway right with making it tougher to get in their league, but we saw that still isn't the answer with the folding of teams left and right...

In the "old" days, the owners were a united front who had strict guidelines on showing you had the financial capability to make a run at it, and they also wouldn't play a team that started up in someone else's backyard. They would get choked out basically for lack of games which was a lack of reason for someone to want to play for that team. One thing about the PFL is they have done a pretty good job of vetting NEW teams like the Umatilla Panthers and not accepting them into the league right away until they proved themselves worthy. The Warriors and Crusaders were long standing organizations who either needed a break to reorganize or have run out of steam financially and organizationally. The Lightning are in an isolated market which has always been tough, but dating back to the Stampede days managed to stay in the fight a long time. The Shockers...mismanaged the past 2 years. It takes a special person and group of people to own an organization and make it last and when they are finished, have the proper people in place to keep it going smoothly. There are teams like the Racine Raiders and Watertown Red & Black (100+ years in operation now) that get it. But, again, I see way too many ME guys out there starting teams with no clue what they are getting in to and no focus on the future of the team once they leave.
The PFL has taken that step towards limiting the number of teams in a certain area since the initial call out for unification. I suspect 2013 will be another season of contraction and the competition level within the league will increase as teams become tougher with less real competition in their given market. They will still have to deal with 2nd tier market teams in their area, but it is becoming clear that those teams are separating themselves from the rest of the herd on their own and the PFL will have the most competitive teams in the Northwest top to bottom.

Switch teams to the "pretty" team then when the team is not so pretty anymore, jump ship to the next team. What teams are missing are franchise players, the outline teams have those. Bearcats, Mavs, Bulldogs, Vikings, Cavs, but most Seatac teams don't have 5-10 players who have been with one team for more then 4-5 years. You need those franchise players to build a quality program that will stand up to time. About 7-8 of us that were with the cavs started the Bearcats. we're in our 4th season and have around 35 guys who have been with us from day one. Even the 7 years I played with the cavs we never had a winning season but none of us jumped ship to winning teams. and yes a lot of us were asked. Duanta your right you should play were you want, but each teams need those 20 or so guys with an ownership in the team they play for. I think the major problem is too many teams. And everyone thinks they can do it better. Don and I had 2 years of planning before we started the Bearcats and are still learning. The Seatac teams should all swallow there pride and sit down and meet to talk about how to fix this problem. It may come to a few teams merging. multiple owners and a board of directors (can be made up of your franchise players) works well and takes to load off just one guy. unless you have a lot of money you want to donate you need help. The Bearcats have 2 owners at this time and will soon have many owners as our team will be public and our community will own a part of the team. No Seatac team will ever win a championship until this is fixed

No Seatac team will ever win a championship until this is fixed Vikings DON"T! Stokes isn't there and has played for a couple of teams since then. Bulldogs merged with Blitz and have had guys on BOTH teams. Stallions, Titans, Ravens and Jags All dominated the NWFL, WWFA & CFL in the past 6 years. All Seatac area teams. I will agree EGOS drive a lot of people in seperate directions, but it isn't always the EGO of the player. It also comes from ownership and coaches too and that can make players leave. Your right its not just players its leagues and owners. The titans were one and done, ravens championship year had 75% of the players only there one year. Jags ran a good program with returning players for 6 or 7 years, but that was back in the NWFL days before the over population of seatac teams. Stallions Doc runs a good program but has a turn over every year. how many of his playesr this year were with him 4 years ago maybe 5 or 6, or still here from 2006. Stallions run a quality program and that's why they continue to compete each year. But I bet doc puts a lot more of his own time and money into the team each year then most owners.
