Didn't the Monarchs play Umatilla? Hmmm didn't know they were a PFL team and didn't us with 20 guys blow them out worse than the mighty monarchs? Interesting oh yeah but they only play PFL teams.

Yes they did and if you look at the gnfafootball.org/ site it will show that they are on probation likely meaning that they will join the league next year. Yes your team did beat them by more than the Monarchs but they were using that and other games to evaluate talent so many players seen action not just 20 iron men.

toro, I would be curious to hear which monarchs were interested in playing for you.? Russ our QB? he has turned down arena teams since he makes as much in a day as do those chumps do a game, So not him! Lets see who else would want to play every three weeks. Probably not recruiting me , Im 4 th on the depth chart at RB. What separates the Monarchs from a lot of teams is you do not realize how close we are as friends, so we all know each others bizness so we would know if someone expressed interest in being a MERC!

Best team around? Whatever. Maybe when you had all those players snowballed with the lies about paychecks and the promises of pro contracts, and live televised games on cable TV (and stop riding the coattails of Joe Rubin...the Cobras didn't get him to the UFL....his agent did and his work with the Seahawks prior to the Cobras existence got him there). Exactly! I've already beaten this dead horse in past threads but the Cobras recruited from area teams with promises and landed some talented players, thus, they are essentially an all-star team. They should be good. That's not impressive. Anyone could do that in any area with a bunch of bullshit promises and incentives of something greater. It's like luring a puppy with a bone to offer promises of glory to a semi-pro player. See Eastside Hawks See Jets From what I hear, not only do the strong PFL teams like the Bears and Monarchs have very good players but those players pay a player fee. Correct me if I'm wrong but don't most, if not all, PFL teams charge some sort of player fee? Do the Cobras charge their "future pros" a player fee? I doubt it. So let's check the scoreboard again, shall we: One team cherry picks players form other team's with promises of pro development and doesn't charge a player fee. Then that team takes those players and challenges the teams who charge player fees and if they don't accept, well, then they are afraid. haha That's some amusing stuff. I'm going to start a team in the Portland area next year and join the PDFL and rape the Vipers, Monarchs, Shine and Raiders of key players by simply not charging them to play and then turn around and bash those teams over the head with their former players and talk shit while I'm doing it. Then I can be a bad ass like the Cobras. LOL Oh. And the Boise team sucks balls. don't brag about beating them with 10 guys, let alone 20.

The monarchs are not astoundingly better talent wise than everyone else, they have chemistry, something that cant be recruited, guys that are all friends and feed off eachother and make eachother better, and know they can trust eachother to make plays, that was the sense i got from playing them. And they have depth. its tough to keep talented guys on as back ups.

Again, the promises of "pro development" and pay are enough to entice any semi-pro player to take a look. But to get someone from Portland to travel to Tacoma for practices in games takes an awful lot of incentives....just ask Sam Adams and the Eastside Hawks, who somehow had players form Portland. But, of course, they weren't paid -

thanks G Reynolds, you got a pretty close knit squad too! Its awesome being able to hang out with 60 of your best friends every weekend. It was hard one some of our offensive line " retired" It was like part of our family left. The friendships have definitely helped in keeping our depth as some of our back ups have been recruited by other area teams promising increased PT but it does not override the Monarch family

Nobody ever said the Cobras might not be better than the Monarchs. BECAUSE NOBODY BUT YOU CARES!!!!! The more you guys brag about good you are the less people care. No team in the PFL is walking around thinking, "Yeah, but can we beat the Cobras." You want to proclaim yourself the best team in the NW with your 20 players and weak ass schedule, go ahead. We all should just call you guys team of the decade right now and get it over with. Then you can take your trophy and go away.

Owners and coaches may not care but any competitive player does. Everyone can claim to be the best, but you have to beat the best to be the best. Monarch players would like to play us, same with the colts, bears list can go on and on. We don't care about leagues just would like to play some good competitive football.

To be the best you have to play the best. Thats why the PFL was formed. Any team had a chance to join. The Cobras had no interest. the offer even went to the East side and the Mavs were the only team that came over. Nothing against staying in your own league the cobras had their agenda and the East decided to stay the same course. Only first year teams and those with poor management were turned down. ( unpaid bills, forfeits, and problems on the field.) So the cobras can't complain about the PFL teams not stepping up to play them we all stepped up and joined the PFL.

"We don't care about leagues just would like to play some good competitive football. "
Funny, I thought that's what leagues were for. I think you guys are lost. You're looking for boxing where the challenger runs his mouth to goat the champ into a bout.
Football is about playing in a league where you compete against several of the same teams with standings, league leaders and playoffs. Civilized competition.
It's not about starting a team on the periphery and then challenging everyone to a game while bragging about how great you are.
That's uncivilized nonsense. The Sperminators did that shit last year and where are they now?

And another thing......if the Cobras played in a viable league with strong teams they wouldn't be running around challenging others like Clubber Lang in Rocky III.
This is all out of necessity. Or, better yet, desperation. And I have to believe that while you were forming the Cobras and plotting to raid rosters, your arrogance allowed you to convince yourselves that other teams would line up for the privilege to play you.
Big mistake!!
