Cobra 7, I will give you guys props about your team. You guys are good. Your fast, and athletic. You keep calling teams in the norhtwest dodgers though, you got to understand most teams get their schedules up starting around October and finalize their schedules in December or January. I would love to play your team and Bears and the Colts and the other elite teams around the league week in and week out. And I would love to play you guys every week for a best of 10 to see who is the better team, but we joined a league with 15 other teams and we play every weekend through the end of July if we make the championship. You guys should think about joining the PFL, drop the pro tag, drop the compensation and join a good league so you guys could play every weekend. Eaglei113, I hear you. We as players would love to play each other, but we're not the ones scheduling games. I'm sure there is a week here or there to squeeze in a game, but maybe I'm wrong. I feel we are the best but to be the best you have to beat the best. Maybe down the line something will get scheduled who knows, champions should play champions until there is only one. This is worse than the BCS lol. Anything can happen next year but like I stated before if the Cobras do join the PFL or some type significant change happens next year I will be back for one more season so we all can talk with our pads and not on this board. Simple. Get with your owners and demand change. Fans want to see great games as well as you guys wanting to play in these big games with big crowds. This is why playoffs are so important. Put them all in one location every single season. The Baseball College World Series has what 16 teams that play all games in one location in NE. College basketball has the final 4. High School Sports has many classifications and State Championship teams all played playoff games in one location. Little League baseball in PA. More examples are easy to find. Semi Pro needs to do the same thing. Your not bigger than High School. Until you become as big as the NFL of course.

I think he has a point about the "King of the mountain" players though. Those type of teams often don't last very long. The Jets and Thunderbolts would be the exceptions.
Titans - 1 year Eastside Hawks - 3 years Auburn Panthers - 4 years Seattle Stallions - 5 years? 4 leagues. MC Bucs - 7 ..... 2000-'03 29-8 (4 years as contender) ..... 2004-'06 5-22 with many forfeits KC Jaguars - 8 years (4 as a contender) ..... 1999-'02 18-20 during Jets era ..... 2003-'06 33-3 after Jets folded
Jets - 12 years .... 8 years with the first owner .... 1998 Jets combined with Bengals .... 4 years with Mac as owner Thunderbolts - 14 seasons ..... 1997-2010
From 1990-1997 the Bengals were 57-24 (.704). In 1998 the Bengals absorbed the Jets - coaches and all. In 1999 the Jets reformed and absorbed a lot of the Bengals. From 1999-09 the Bengals were 40-58 (.408). Read into that whatever you like.

Mr. No One,
How about us? LOL There once was a core group of guys that played both on the BC Spartans and the Bellingham Bulldogs and we did pretty well for the 3 years we played together:
2008: 12-1*only loss to the National champion runner-up San Diego Thunder 2009: 13-1 *only loss to the National champion St. Paul Pioneers * 2010: 14-1*only loss to the National champion Nashville Storm * 36-0 in the NW over the three years: You could give us some credit LOL.... Read into that one too if you like ;-). Yes we came up short 3 years in a row on the big ones, but we lost to very, very, very good teams that may have given both the Cobras and the Monarchs the best game they ever had. Check you tube for evidence. LOL
I wish we had played the Cobras and the Monarchs in 2010 but we were not able to play either as I believe the schedules would not allow it especially since we were more focused on possibly the last “claimable” NAFL National Title- on a side note, the Nashville Storm is an amazing football team. They deserved their 2010 National championship.
I would easily pay (and travel) to watch a game between the Cobras and the Monarchs, but I would have loved to play against either of these great teams instead of watching from the stands. I too like to talk with my pads instead of on a MB. ;-)
Good luck to all Ballers in 2011!

Heard rumors about Timberwolves folding REAL soon even after an ownership change. A FEW Cobra players have already quit and many are furious playing ONCE a MONTH and have said they are going to the Colts and Bears. On a side note, when you get hurt on the job you should be covered for your injuries and still compensated correct? Well are the Cobras and Timberwolves covering their EMPLOYEES? Or writing them off as independant contractors and letting them foot the bill themselves??? These are things to remember. Accident insurance may cover the majority of copays, but if you dont have your own insurance there still may be a huge debt owed when injured! Between PT, surgery, prosthetics, MRI's, and everything else ACL reconstructions was around $30-35,000. Looks like we lost too many good players. You teams better jump at the chance to beat us while we are vulnerable!!! Check our schedule at Tacomacobras.com and contact our owner to see if we can work out a game... ;D

You teams better jump at the chance to beat us while we are vulnerable!!! Check our schedule at Tacomacobras.com and contact our owner to see if we can work out a game... ;D YOU should be the one checking everyones schedule to see who has available dates. Every PFL team has a game scheduled every weekend from the start of the season to the end other than the two holiday weekends. So when Cobras come on the forums and say teams "make excuses" not to play them, you demonstrate your ignorance. Having 12-14 games scheduled and playing in a 16-team league is not an excuse, it's reality and quite frankly something you can't relate to because you are in a mini-league with five open dates from your first game to your last. And please do yourselves a favor and stop bragging about how great you are. Telling everyone how you could kick their heads in is not a smart way to get a game. Since you supposedly pay players shouldn't you have the best talent around? So isn't bragging about it a bit on the pathetic side. But it's not quite as pathetic as begging for games in a berating fashion. "Hey, yall. We are the best of the best and we pay our players but we have nobody to play so would you amateur teams whose rosters we cherry pick from please play us.? And if you don't, well, your scared cause you know we'll kick the shit out of you. So, yeah, why don't you check your schedules and play us.....please?. " And just where are all these players your developing for the "next level" anyway? PDFL, huh? Should stand for PoDunkFantasyLeague. Seriously, what pro leagues do you develop for? IFL? Heck, anyone can go to an IFL tryout and if they don't make it the first time and fail to succeed the dream of making $250 a week to play "pro ball" the last thing they need to be doing is playing for the Cobras in hopes of getting "developed." Arena 1? Their rosters are loaded with players from D-1 universities. How could they further develop by playing the Boise Buccs and Inner City Shine? CFL? LOL Anyone with a legit chance in Canada should have an agent and that agent should be shot if he advises his client to play in the PDFL as a path to Canada. NFL? LOLOLOL I can see it now: "Man, I'm trying to get to the NFL. When we gonna play the Renton Ravens, man? Or, they Kitsap County Bears? I mean, there's Bears and Ravens in the NFL, too, so maybe that will help me get a look." The Cobras won't join the PFL because then they couldn't pay players and if they can't pay, they would be just another team. Individually I wish all of you Cobras - scratch that - grass snakes and water moccasins the best but do yourselves a favor and stop begging for games and stop bragging about yourselves. Nobody cares. Well, other than for the humor of it all.

Europe? LOL Every team in the NW has players who could play in Europe. Those leagues are brutal. As for the IFL, several teams have players who played there, as well and others who could if they wanted to but already have jobs and careers paying them much more than the $250 (if and when you get paid) paychecks from that league. A person could make that much working 30 hours a week at McDonalds. CFL? Who? And I'll bet he was headed there anyway and made it there on his own, not with the "development" of the water snakes. My point was that you guys aren't "developing" anyone beyond what they could do on their own. And the fact that you're begging for games against teams you insult is pathetic and proves your lack of stability as a league let alone an entity that is developing players. The league and it's premise are a fraud. It's a joke. Everyone laughed at the NLFL - except the idiots who invested money - and everyone laughs at the Pathetically Dys-Functional League. Calling yourself professional and paying a few peanuts to a few overrated chumps does not make you pros. It makes you wanna-bes.

Another hater here to add to the trio of haters we have on this board. ::)If EVERY team had guys that can play in Europe, why dont every team have guys that play over there? Hmm. I, myself played over there. Yes, the quality as a whole is similar to the semi-pro level, but the BEST teams out there are comparable to a Div 1AA team. You have your good and bad teams over there. And YES, we have a guy in the CFL. Go to Tacomacobras.com to find out who. I highly doubt he would have made it over there without the film he put together while being a Cobra. EVERY team also dont have IFL players too. In closing, dont pass judgement on something you havent seen yet, like America. Come check out a game. Stop the annonomys shit and come holla at me. Im very approachable and I would be more than happy to answer all your questions...

I think I've been saying that for years....the "mercenary" teams are built to win fast with no sense of sticking around past the one owner who started things. No loyalty with merc players. They go to whomever is the pretty team that year. That's one advantage the Monarchs currently have...they paid their dues in the early years and built what they have without empty promises and bogus claims of glory. They could very well be on top for the next 5-8 years if they keep things going and avoid the eventual move to tear them down to other peoples level rather than other people aspiring to build to what they have got going. One huge thing I've noticed...the Monarchs are not afraid to tell problem players to hit the bricks and go play for someone else. Doesn't matter how great a player might be, look at TO...tears apart locker rooms and team unity, those guys do the same thing at our level. Cant put the Jets under you "Merc" term. Only reason the team went defunct was the passing of the owner...

Bull, We would love to host you guys down here in Ptown. For whatever reasons, it can be difficult to get games. I believe in playing the toughest games possible, how else can we measure ourselves and improve. It would have to be later or at the end of the season, but certainly arrangements can be made. However, this time I'm confident we will give you a better game...

Im very approachable and I would be more than happy to answer all your questions... You act as if moving to Europe to play football is something EVERYBODY would want to do. I know of several current and former semi-pro players contacted about playing in Europe. But, dude, it's freaking EUROPE!!! People have families, kids, obligations, real careers. Not everyone is so hungry to call themselves a pseudo pro that they will pack up and run off to Europe to essentially play semi-pro football for chump change. Let's see....$40,000 job here, wife, kids or girlfriend and family, friends and play semi-pr. or. go to Europe for what, room and board and a car and some pocket change to play semi-pro football?? I-AA teams? LOL Come on, man. An average 1-AA team would run through Europe like a hot knife through butter. And nobody is making it in Canada because of semi-pro film. Have you ever looked at a Canadian roster? Half the players must be Canadian and the Americans are mostly from BCS conferences. That said, it's not impossible if a very talented players is simply misplaced. Even still, that player is not going to Canada based on Cobras film. He's going there based on his abilities. So who is this mystery Cobra, anyway? Give a name. Can't find it on that confusing, horribly organized website of yours. Reveal the name so I can do some research on him and see if you earn credibility or lose what little you have. And I'm not trying to hate. I'm simply reacting to all the Cobra bullshit I read on here. Again.... 1. you should have the best team if you pay players. 2. Teams in a 16-team league have full schedules. Stop acting like they are obligated to play you. 3. NCAA eligibility is endangered by playing against pro teams. You may not care since you are pro but for the few guys who hope to go to college, it matters. Don't demand those teams jeopardize their principles to play you BECAUSE YOU ARE IN A SHIT LEAGUE WITH NO OPPONNENTS. 4. Last, and certainly not least, don't expect to get games with teams by telling them how great you are and how shitty they are.

Any questions about any of our players that are at the next level can be answered at Tacomacobras.com . Also, I have already stated we have the Cobra Bite on 1150 AM on Sundays at 6pm-7pm, and another show on 1180 AM on Mondays at 6pm-7pm. We DO accept callers. This weeks guest on air was another new PDFL expansion team for next season...

Cant put the Jets under you "Merc" term. Only reason the team went defunct was the passing of the owner... The Jet's were simply a "merc" team that lasted more than 3 years. There were only a handful of Jet players who weren't pilfered from other NWFL teams.
