Stick Sources say NLFL is not hapenning in 2009!! Not to my surprise! LOL If it sounds to good to be true, ITS NOT TRUE!! If you cant keep your job cause of the economy and layoffs, how can people afford to start a payroll for Weekend warriors/ Pro football players! I am not hatin, just being real!! Other than an inflated ego who wanted to brag they were going to be paid did anyone truly do the things that a real jobs does i.e.: application, background check, W-2 forms, insurance & direct deposit forms? Or were most of the guys so enamored in being a paid player that they didnt investigate or worry about these kinds of things? Do you think this hurt the image of Semi Pro football in the NW? I think so!! Noone wants to hear about this great thing that doesnt happen!

the nlfl is a joke, The people associated with the heirarchy of the league have zero pro sports experience and alot of failed business experience. Not going to happen,,,,, not ever. Just enjoy playing the game as it is. To all those who let this dream get in the way of reality. If in High School you didnt get recruited to a big time school or at all , it wasnt because the coaches had it out for you, it was because you werent good enough, If in college you didnt get an invite to a combine, it wasnt because you didnt get the proper exposure, there are plenty of scouts and bird dogs everywhere and if you are any good they will find you. I am freaking sick of all these wannabes in the CFL,OFL, NAFL, that think they can play in the league. Stop. And to those Wanna be Coaches and Owners that think they have what it takes to run a pro league ,, here is suggestion .. 1. Stop 2. Take a step Back 3. Pull your head out of your arse . To coach or being involved in league at any level takes years of grunt work and hapless internships. Being a fluky of former high school assistant coach isnt qualifications the NFL or any pro league are ooking for. Oh and if any wants more info, I know the inner workings of the comcast deal and other dealings.

Here is the comcast deal. Comcast agreed to televise the games for a set amount each game. I beleive the amount was around 10k per game which is about right ,to pay for broadcasters, camerca crews, craft guys, all the tech guys it takes to run a 3hour game. Then each home team was given the right to sell the advertising tv spots , totalling a cost between 25-30 k so owners could make 15-20k off advertising per game after they paid comcast. ( in theory.) But from what I got from Comcast, No one was interested in advertising so there was no way the owners could foot the 10k a game bill.

Randy I dont know much about your league to be honest but maybe you can add two guys and play an exhibition??? Not calling you out, but most on here are players except coachclark so for us in the end most of us WILL settle this on the field!! So just maybe no matter your record see if your guys are interested in lining up and play REAAL 11 man football??? Call around I am sure you will get a preseason or exhibition I GUARANTEE IT!! LOL I am a player so most of which you talk we dont control. I got to pracitce and ppick up three other guys to drive 2-2.5 hours away to play REC Ball and will and have always paid every dollar and had my own gear. So when I speak I respect the game and my teammates to give my FuLL COMMITMENT! SO dont think I am the bad apple player with a loud mouth who dont practice and expects to play, I am honestly the exact opposite. I am usually the guy who goes to every practice and hardly gets put in!! But some would say talent is that reason!! That will be proven in less than 11 weeks!!! YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Randy this isnt personal, but yet it si! I sense an air of arrogance of how your league is superior in its administrative and maangerial duties, but thats not what I care about! DO you think you can ball better!! Now thats what really matters! What I am asking is come PROVE IT!

Air of Arrogance? Not really trying to say the league I coach in is better or worse. i just liked the way it is designed. The league I'm in is not for every body. I have one of the worst teams in any NW league this season but I would rather help the kid just out of high school that has had his problems either with the law, or drugs and needs that helpful guidance. I'm not the guy that recuruits everyone elses players and the best players because winning is more important than life that not me. My vision is different as a coach. I would like to say I am as knowledgeable about the game as most. If winning was priority number one I would go coach high school. As far as bringin my team to play REAL football against your team I don't have any interest. Why would I spend money our players are having a hard enough time coming up with to pay fees with and blow that on traveling for a meaningless game? I would just call the Springfield Buzzards and get a scrimmage going. What I meant if my comment before was to vauge was. The vision is different than any league. Not the wins and loses or the guidance but other things. Why is it 11-man players say come play Real football? I thought if you strap on the pads you were playing real football. So the 1A level 8-man high school team is not real football or the Arena football league which where most of the elite of the elite in the Sem-Pro world will have a chance to play in not real football? If not why play. I guess I watch too much Mr Rodgers and live in the land of make belive whan it comes to the aches and pains I used to feel on Sunday the day after our games. What was I thinking? Why follow when you can lead. We are one of two 9-man league that are still around in the country. The other is in Tennesee. Fair enough!! I believe for most of us on here, we will strap it up and play each other to settle whatever is said online!! Not sure if y'all will!! Just extending a little friendly competition and trash talk!! I never back down from any challenge for any reason!! I went to Medford OR last year with 16 guys to play 11 man football against the #6 team in country and then after the strarting QB broke leg in first quarter I played QB with lineman mostly under 225lbs!!! So trust me I know about heart and grit!! I also know that most guys who would read what you wrote would go WTF who is he??? Play us and show us who and what is better!! LOL Just ribbing you for the most part!!!

i think any player that has played on a team that doesn't travel well or have a lot of players on there team know's what it is like to play ironman football with heart. My last year with the Skagit Valley Lightning now North Sound Sting we would travel to games with 15-20 players. Went all the way to Burbank ,WA to play the blue mtn stars with 17 players. Both ways and a little special teams. I think we can play that type of football but it might be tough at first because we are so used to playing with 11
