Keepitreal - I don't believe in the whole mythical national championship but what's it's worth if you win all your games then at the end of the season are invited to play and don't handle your business then your mission would deem incomplete. I will agree that whoever wins the PFL should be given the utmost respect considering all that was put forth to make this league happen...

Yes we still see difficulty bringing teams together locally even in our own region. The PFL has changed that. Can anyone honestly pretend there is a better league in the N.W.? People like you were crying to see the Monarchs play the Renegades, Colts and Bulldogs. Well, it happened, all coming in a four-week stretch. Now what?!?!!? Bears-Monarchs or Bearcats-Monarchs would be the last desirable matchup to be seen based on the past few years of semi-pro football. Maybe the Cobras would be contenders in the PFL, but they have chosen a different path so the question is moot. Plus, if they were just another PFL team they probably wouldn't have a lot of the players they seduced with promises of "professional development" as they rolled to Boise with 20 players. LOL The PFL is where it's at. 16 teams. Think about that. 16 teams. The NWFL in its heyday had, what, 12? Plus the PFL has strong leadership and actual bylaws teams must adhere to. Imagine that. Rules to adhere to. Wow. What a novel concept. Long live the PFL. Lets hope its the Brearcat vs Monarchs match up.

As the head coach of the monarchs of course u would be confident in saying that your 2009 team would "wipe us off the face of the earth".......actually killing us??? 2010, i am confident as a team captain that we had what it takes to beat your team yes......am i supposed to say otherwise?? yes i did quit playing football.......because life goes on and its time for me to concentrate on other things not semi-pro football....so for u to say that i ducked out with my tails between my legs is a joke, u dont know me and for anyone that does i dont back down from a challenge...especially on the football field, being a head coach of such well respected team you for sure know what sort of sacrifices your players make to play football for free and pay their own way. how do 20 starters quit.....hmmm....by quitting in the same fashion as me, because semi-pro football is a draining lifestyle especially when u have a job/family, other things to do in life etc....why am i having to explain this to you lol? you make it seem as if an entire football decided to run for the hills at thought of having to play you guys, cmon buddy stop yourself there. why has russ passed for 12,000+ yards and 220 td's......um because he is a good qb??? i never said we would make him our "bitch" so please dont try and put words in to my mouth thats juvenile.......rather than make him our "bitch" what he would face is an extremely formidable opponent.....you know the kind of opponent your blackshirts team faced up in bc in 2008? only thing is the 2010 bulldogs were much better than the spartans, im sure you can understand? I dont know what the PFL trophy/bowl is called but that name sounds pretty good to me, and had we "graced the league with our grand presence" we would have been right there to play you guys at the end and probably beat you guys, you know.....since 2008 ive never actually lost a game in the NW, we put all comers down so im sure you can understand why im as confident as i am. i am soooo looking foward to another another witty/smug reply from you!!!

Glad you are. Maybe you'll see the light this time. First, off. I don't coach anyone. This myth running around that I do is silly and distracting from my unchallengeable points. KeepitReal is about calling people on their idiocy by pointing out realities. Who I am is immaterial. And why on earth would you call me smug after what you stated, you hypocrite?? YOU were the one who started this thread to announce that the 2010 Bulldogs "wouldve wrecked shop on the PFL. every single team including the monarchs " Then you added, "so to whoever wins the PFL this year be thankful we're not around to spoil ur party....u can take ur consolation prize"Wow. Way to tell everyone in the PFL that what they are playing for is merely a "consolation prize" because you are at home chasing your kids around. Could you be more arrogant? And for any of your declarations to have come true you would have had to make Schneider your bitch, otherwise he would have thrown for 300 and 4 TDs, thus making it at least a competitive game, wouldn't you say? Can't have it both ways. Logic is a bitch, I know. By the way, the Monarchs have not lost a game in the NW since 2008, either. I don't mind you believing the 2010 Bulldogs were great and would have been contenders this year, or even if you believe they would have won it. Great. Good for you. But it means about as much as the diapers you change, and smells about as bad. All you did was come on here to be condescending and degrading and pump up your now domesticated ego and did so from your living room in flip flops while the rest of the PFL is out doing work. That is beyond pathetic!!! And what on earth do the Blackshirts have to do with the Monarchs??? You lost me on that one. But I like the phrase, "our 2010 team was better than the 2008 team." Oh really? Do you also have a monopoly on improving teams from year to year, as well?? This shit is dumb. Go back to making hot cereal and switching out the Horton Hears a Who DVD with Shrek3 and leave football to the men still playing. P.S. There's nothing wrong with giving up football to spend more time with your children next time you want to declare your team as unbeatable don't spend a few sentences justifying a close game with details of turnovers and leaving points on the board. Nothing like a list of excuses to water down a chest-thumping session.

Keepitreal, I played for the blackshirts in 08 we crossed the border to play them. They were a good team. We lost. Bdog12, we have also become better, the Blackshirts were mostly vipers players on d and Monarchs O. I honestly don't know who Keepitreal is and I don't think that our coach would waste time on here anymore. Just FYI. And yes you are suppose to be confident in your team, I feel the same way about my Monarchs. I feel like we will never lose. Realistically we will, but we haven't yet.

Hold up, hold up....Let me get this straight: So, the Blackshirts in 2008 had some Monarchs on it and played the BC team that had Bulldogs on it? So, I looked at the GNFA site and that must be the Spartans. The score was 28-24, Spartans. So your logic is that since the Blackshirts with some Monarchs on it in 2008 traveled six hours to Canada (across the border so they were probably missing guys, but such is life in semi-pro) and lost 28-24 then the 2010 Bulldogs would have wiped the floor with the 2011 Monarchs??? (deep breath...deep breath...deep breath)... HAHAHHAAHHAHAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAA AAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAAHHAAHAHAAHA AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA (pause. wipe tears. check to see if I wet myself..deep breath) HAHAHHAAHHAHAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAA AAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAAHHAAHAHAAHA AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA Holy crap that's funny. I haven't laughed that hard since Eddie Murphy was on Saturday Night Live. You are a funny, funny cat. Man. Russell, How many 2011 or 2010 Monarchs were on that Blackshirts team that got CRUSHED 28-24 following what had to have been a 7 hour trip, including customs?

2010 or 2011 Monarchs who were on the 08 Blackshirts:
QB Russell Schneider (Monarchs 08-current) WR Andrew Johnson (Viper 08-09, Monarch 10-current) RB Jason Hoyt (Couldn't get across border) (Monarch 06-present) DB Ben Hulsey (Coyote 05, Outlaws 06-08, Monarch 09-10, Viper present) RB John Griffin (Didn't finish Blackshirt season) (Monarch 08, 10-present) OL Charlie Latt (Monarch 07-10) FB Heath Wharton (was a coach for the Blackshirts and not a player) (Monarch 06-present) DB Kahlil Littleton (Monarch 09-10) DT Dominic Brock (Monarch 09-present) LB Beau Gates (Monarch 06-08, 10-present) LB Mike Beaty (Didn't go to Canada game) (Monarch 07-present) DB Tasi Autele (Monarch 06-08, 10-present)
Pretty sure that's it.

Wow! Ask and you shall receive. Alright! So, let's see....looks like 10 blackshirts were on the 2010 Monarchs and eight on the 2011 Monarchs. And the Monarchs roster this year has 60 players on it. Hmmm... that's 13 percent. And here's something else, of the BlackMonarchs - lol - Schneider and Johnson are the only two with college experience yet the 2011 Monarchs roster on their website is loaded with college players. www.portlandmonarchs.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=81&Itemid=210DAMN!! Monarchs have nine dudes from Portland State, six from Western Oregon, a Duck and a Beaver and a few other JC and D-3 guys. Wow, that team sucks. Way overrated. How they've won any games is a mystery to me. No doubt the 2010 Bulldogs would kick the snot out of that roster. PFL brass, please change the name to ... the Pacific 2010 Bulldogs Would Have Made Everyone Their Bitch Football League. This way all the world will know that every PFL champion from here on out only won the title because the former Bulldogs had mercy and let them.

Yep the PFL is the best semi pro in the NW hands down. The Cobras would be worth watching if they would have chosen correctly and joined the PFL. Hey next season Cobras. Now is your chance to do the right thing. Theres an opening now in Oregon with the Warriors departure.

The Warriors have already forfeited. Granted, it was a 7 hour trip they were sure to get spanked on, but still. The league needs to make all long road trips, cross division, take place within the first three weeks of the season when everyone has hope. And any team who forfeits must come under serious review. The only thing that hurts a league more than shootings and fighting is forfeits - and a shitty website.

Rock and Chris I agree. I loved playing in the NAFL with all of you and missed this year in the PFL. Mad props to all of you who made this possible and I got nothing but love for all my football family. Hopefully the Cobras do play in the PFL next season and I'm not saying that in any way to bang my chest about who's the best and we'll beat this and that, etc. Most of you (buddies from the NAFL) know I'm not like that and have nothing but respect for you guys.
The PDFL is the PDFL, but it's not the players. And hopefully the players get a say in where we can play next year and if we do, I hope you guys accept us. There's a hand full of us starters who don't care about the PRO thing or getting PAID lol. We would just like to play, and from experience I personally know the teams from NAFL (now PFL) and would love to play with my football brothers again. I planned on playing in the PFL with the Colts and went to the 1st team mtg, but before we signed anything I had a chance to practice with the Cobras and the Chemistry just clicked with the team (Cobras) and I stayed and missed my chance. But I love the game and sure the league (PDFL) isn't the best lol...but that's where we're at. All of you in the PFL have great teams, and if we get a chance or happen to join the league, I look forward to seeing you guys (my nafl fam) again. Keep up the good work with the league:)
