Heard rumors about Timberwolves folding REAL soon even after an ownership change. A FEW Cobra players have already quit and many are furious playing ONCE a MONTH and have said they are going to the Colts and Bears.
On a side note, when you get hurt on the job you should be covered for your injuries and still compensated correct? Well are the Cobras and Timberwolves covering their EMPLOYEES? Or writing them off as independant contractors and letting them foot the bill themselves??? These are things to remember. Accident insurance may cover the majority of copays, but if you dont have your own insurance there still may be a huge debt owed when injured! Between PT, surgery, prosthetics, MRI's, and everything else ACL reconstructions was around $30-35,000.

Kinda figured that. Once coach O told me that he hadn't been paid in two months I knew it wasn't something I was ready to relocate up north for. Too bad we had a real strong team in place, and the venue up there is one of the nicest in the league (IFL). Once Coach O took off for the Colorado Ice all the guys I talked to that he recruited said they weren't showing up for camp. Haven't really followed up on them but It sounds like not one of them showed up to camp. I know I didn't. Oh well, hope some PFL teams can pick up some of their talent.

Duante, I can understand the Tacoma Cobra's situation because they have a troubled league but where did you hear these rumors about the Timberwolves Tom Dowling, Jim Granacker, Mike Barry and Coach Ponder leaving Kent or folding?

Wow! Cow Pie! A true Horse before the Cart. Hey next time I recommend that the Cobras find a stable quality league to join first before building it's team. Kind of a waste of time, effort, and hard to come by money to be the best in a two team league.
Best wishes to the Pro Cobra's and their idea. They just need a Pro league to join instead of creating one from scratch. Go Cobras.

"Key Guys" we have like 50 of them. After what I saw this past weekend the Colts could use them anyway. Its funny how guys hop from team to team and have something bad to say about the team they just left. If they were starting or playing as much as they "think" they should have been, they wouldn't be hoping teams while using other excuses to why they left. There's actually quite a few of them on the Colts can't win the job as a Cobra so I'll go somewhere I know I can start....... just comes to show you who's competitive who's trying to get better who's pushing themselves and who isn't. Yeah our league has a lot of work to do no doubt so I can see where everyone's coming from on this board, but one thing for sure hands down even with the lost of these so called "key players" the cobras will run through any team in I'll just say the PFL since they are the so called best league around.

Good news! Owner and CEO Tom Dowling just said now and has said in the past that the Wolves will remain at the Kent Showare for years to come. Tom is local owner. He lives in Tacoma.

Yes you are correct. Guys hop around and badmouth their former teams. Semi pro lives on. This is why I keep beating this drum over and over again. DO NOT CATER to the ungrateful PLAYER to be king of the mountain no one cares about anyway. (Kind of like if a tree falls in a forest when no one's around) Most players are not loyal and will play for your team only if given something. This leaves you at the end of the day standing alone with your inside pants pockets pulled out and worried about how you are going to make this work. To owners, CATER to the gate paying FANS and be FREE of these shackles. Fans will help pay your bills and surprise, surprise players will still come to play. If teams start making money then player fees could be eliminated or reduced to near nothing and coaches will receive $$$.

Do you think they quit because they were not starting? or did they quit because cobras play like 5 games with 2 teams in the league?.. I think players at some point just want to play football doesnt matter, what team they are on. especially if you havent played in 2 to 3 weeks

I completely understand just wanting to play cuz so do I and they actually were starters for our first 2 games but due to the competition their positions were in jeopardy. As for our lack of games and teams guys knew this coming in. I even considered playing elsewhere but I get more work in at practice I feel then in any game against any team. Games are easy, practicing against the best in our area is hard. Anybody that has played "real" football knows it's friends off the field but strictly business on it. We've tried to schedule games against the best though we are doing our on thing but everyone keeps dodging us with excuses, our schedules full or whatever the case may be. We all love football and 10 games shit even 16 isn't enough for me. Let's make these games happen.

Wish you guys would have joined the PFL while building your team. The Cobra's would have had stable games with stable teams and helped promote the PFL. Yes I believe if you kept all your superstars you would have won the PFL. For now don't call you're selves pro. Call you're selves semi pro.
Behind the scenes and during the off season the Cobra's could still built a Pro league and land the most solid and committed.

You keep calling teams in the norhtwest dodgers though, you got to understand most teams get their schedules up starting around October and finalize their schedules in December or January. I would love to play your team and Bears and the Colts and the other elite teams around the league week in and week out. And I would love to play you guys every week for a best of 10 to see who is the better team, but we joined a league with 15 other teams and we play everyweekend through the end of July if we make the championship. You guys should think about joining the PFL, drop the pro tag, drop the compensation and join a good league so you guys could play every weekend.

Eaglei113, I hear you. We as players would love to play eachother, but we're not the ones scheduling games. I'm sure there is a week here or there to squeeze in a game, but maybe I'm wrong. I feel we are the best but to be the best you have to beat the best. Maybe down the line something will get scheduled who knows, champions should play champions until there is only one. This is worse than the BCS lol. Anything can happen next year but like I stated before if the Cobras do join the PFL or some type significant change happens next year I will be back for one more season so we all can talk with our pads and not on this board.
