Yeah Gene I'm still waiting to know what the deal is with the Terminators? But yeah it would of been nice to see Cedric coach the Vipers. I played for Ced for many years and he has always been successful. Hopefully these new guys they got will do well, or that may come back to haunt them....North division is going to be very tough this year.
Until I confirm I believe I found out something about this new Portland team......stay posted......

If Cedric would have coached the Vipers we would have had some old rivals in the north with Wes and the Vikings, Jeff Scott and the Colts, and Cedric down south with the Vipers. We would have to invite Ron Baines and the Bengals to make it complete. As for banning any coaches from the PFL I don't know of any. There was no discussion in the PFL about Cedric coaching. But Yes the PFL would ban coaches along with players if it was for the better of the league. But like heath said any one who got banned would have an appeals process to come back.

Baines and the Bengals are crooked! Did Cedric ever even coach in the OFL?? If not how could you be banned from a league you never competed in? I agree do what's best for the league but like I said ALL coaches have dirt behind them so what would make his any different?
Now with the Blitz leaving a league that is already barely above water puts a MAJOR damper on the PDFL. I don't think the Cobras will disband but who they going to play?? Teams are already setting their schedules and the teams that are left out in the cold from not joining a league aren't even worth mentioning.
Okay this is only a rumor but the Portland team will be wearing green and gray, play at Madison H.S., has something to do with D2. So now we got 4 teams here and I have to say that I think that the Raiders will suffer the worst out of all them. Question is if the Terminators are no more along with the Bolts, where will all those players go???

We need to promote each other to make the PFL teams better.

I usually come on here and just read the post to stay up on semi pro football, but I had to say something today. Shutdown is right about Ced, he's no worse than anybody else out there whoever is trying to ban him. I've played for some real dirt bags and a-holes. The Vipers should have did everything they could have to hire that guy, I know, I've played against him for yers as a bolt, and some how he would find a way to beat us even though his team was over matched. To me this is what makes semi pro more of a joke than credible, trying to keep out one of the best coaches in the game. Give the guy a break.

Let the man Coach, set rules...but do not bar the man from coaching like he bit off a piece of someones ear.

I think you're getting your leagues and commissioner confused. Have you ever even met Baines? ALL coaches have dirt behind them so what would make his any different? No, they all don't. Most don't. Probably the overwhelming majority. You only hear about those who do. I'm not trying to imply that Cedric does - I have no idea why the OFL would ban him.

NOONE- No the two don’t have nothing to do with each other. That was just the way I typed it so there is no confusion. Mr. Bearcat58 mentioned him in his post about old school NWFL coaches. Then I went on to talk about Cedric. Also yes I have met Baines on several occasions and yes “I think he is crooked.”
Whatever dirt it may be I disagree and do think that in some way. Doesn’t mean that it has to do with their ability to be good coaches. Honestly several players I know don’t mesh well with Cedric but I’ve known that and still played for him because of his defensive creativity, plus I don’t judge a man on someone’s opinion I do that myself, and he never did me wrong. Meaning we all have our different views about our coaches whether it’s good or bad. Either way I like Cedric and do think he would be good for the league.

Let me make this a lil more clear. OFL didn't ban Cedric. They told the Vipers that they would get negative votes of readmitance into the OFL if Cedric was the coach. Thus risking not being in the OFL. So, not a ban. more of a strong arming.

As a point of fact, Cedric did coach the Vipers at one point in 2008. I don't know how many games, but he was helping out on the sidelines when the Monarchs visited the Vipers in Washugal (sp?).
The Vipers probationary status in the OFL had absolutely nothing to do with their coaching staff and everything to do with their ownership. That was resolved when the Washington Athletic Association assumed ownership of the Vipers. Now, prior to the the OFL voting to merge and become the PFL, the only contact the Vipers new ownership had to the OFL was through me. And never once did I say or indicate the Vipers would be removed from the OFL for anything other than the financial discrepancies the previous owners had caused. Which, the new ownership group corrected on their own prior to any OFL meetings or contact with me informing the OFL the Vipers were under new ownership.
No one got strong-armed. If you own a business and someone applies for a job to run that business, you are going to check references. The Vipers checked references. They didn't like what they found. End of story.

Does anyone know how to get a hold of someone in the PDFL? I want to find out what really truth or rumors about that league?

The PFL website is currently under construction. For official PFL information, the GNFA will post anything until the PFL site is up in Jan.
