All I know is if the NCAA tried killing my Trojans, than they better damn well hit Ohio State just as hard.

IMO just lay the "death penalty" on them... send an example that big time programs can't mess with you.

They are placing the blame on Jim . He's allowing OSU to throw him under the bus, while they continue to pay him out. Genius!!!

What was great was watching sportsnation on espn today, they were talking about how OSU was basically telling the NCAA what their punishments will be. I wouldn't be surprised if the NCAA didn't come down hard on them for trying to do that.

all schools cheat, except for probably BYU or coaches like JOE PA, its just how slick you are, driving brand new cars and wearing flashy jewelry is probably nota good idea, all the top players are takin money, theyre jsut idiots and cant wait to flash it till they make it to the league, like the morons from UNC, but dude still got drafted early in the 1st round, shows kids its ok, u can still make it thats all most of them want to do is make it to the league, so they dont care about the school's reputation, the UFL should be able to draft kids who dont even have an interest in going to college, from high school and groom them for 3 years then the nfl can buy them, it would make college football less competitive, but then at least all the teams would be alot cleaner, because the greedy kids who put their school's in hot water would be risking injusry and their education in the "minors"

Funny you say BYU and Joe Pa, because BYU and Penn State are the only two schools with football National Championships (Ever) to not have major sanctions leveyed upon them. Look it up.

You can blame the kids for taking money. Remember, these kids are 18-21 broke college students and some never really had anything to begin with. Once you go to booster dinners and are invovled in communicating with former alumni, they understand your situation and offer you $50 to take your girlfriend out. then that leads to them telling you, I know a guy at the dealership and he will loan you a car for a week... and blah blah blah.... If you are 18-21 in that same situation, you are not turning that downn $50 no big deal right?? wrong!! Your not really thinking about the school and how much trouble you will be in. Your thinking this guy is really trying to help me get by. Thats where it all starts.
If you really want to clean up college sports take out the BOOSTER CLUBS AT UNIVERSITIES, They are the ones that pays for coaches salaries and influence coaches .
Its not about these guys showing off what they have, its about these older gentleman taking advantage of young adults

They know what they can and cant take, the have frshmen symposiums to tell them, they know right from wrong, they are not toddlers, they cann not claim ignorrance. they are on full scholarships, they get full room and board, their concern should not be to take some girl out, or drive a nice car, its to train for football, and get an education.

The U 30 for 30 Bennie Blades said it best on accepting money from Luther Campbell. "If my kids need diapers and clothes I am not going to be ashamed to take that $50 no sir"

Be a responsible adult, dont have kids when you cant afford to live your own life and provide for yourself. You guys are making a debate out of something that shouldn't be debated. These College athletes made the choice to go to college over getting a full time job, they are getting paid well. They get a freee college degree and they can choose whatever major they want. Also they receive free dorms and food. Alot of people give give up a lot of stuff to be in their position. What it all comes down to is greed and selfishness. They want the world because their ego makes them think they are the best. It's the way of America now and its sad that we (college athletes) are like that. As long as there is no culture change, there will be problems in college sports.

College athletes need to be paid through a nice size stipend there are always going to be people who break the rules, just think about this how much money do the schools make off of the athletes what does the NCAA bring in how much does pac 12 commissioner get paid. I think if college athletes were given a stipend large enough for them to live off of if they have a family this is accounted for to these schools have to consider the whole person and just not the part they want to exploit.
