Seriously quit with your 8 man bullshit. Nobody wants the vision you have nor does anyone want to play round robin football. Their will always be good teams and bad teams in leagues and it's unavoidable but that doesn't mean you abandon the structure. It's hard enough chasing down people in regular football and you suggest taking it down to 8 players on a full field.....are you freaking crazy?

The 8-man talk truly makes you sound senile, whoever you are.
You'd probably tell a baseball league to play kick ball and a basketball league to go to three-on-three, huh?
8-man football isn't football.

No to baseball and basketball unless they suck and they are semi pro. I repeat talking 8 man because I'm talking to mostly a senile semi pro following. And its working because people are becoming threaten with this golden idea. Some group will jump on this idea. This 8 man idea is just for the Puget Sound area because it has 8 man indoor football and is a growing trend with youth as 8 kid arena teams are forming rapidly. Makes more sense if your looking at raising gate money by focusing on fans. Its just a matter of time as our economy continues to suck and with all costs rising that you'll see an 8 man full field league sharing costs to survive as single 11 man independent teams will fade away or fold. It can be done as we all witness the Nine Man Football League staying alive for years in Salem Albany even during our good economy. Teams can always return to 11 man once the economy improves.

I figured that since you once ran a successful organization that you could also give good advice. I see there is a reason the Jags went belly up.

Keith, there are enough facts here to use without making stuff up and sounding spiteful. Jeff Scott destroyed the Jaguars. Then he destroyed the Titans. It is my understanding that Derek Sparks is no long involved in semi-pro football because of Jeff Scott. Jeff Scott is a great coach when he has vastly superior talent. He seems to really struggle in other aspects of the game.

Teams can always return to 11 man once the economy improves. I don't think the economy has much to do with lack of talent. I'm not an advocate of 8 man football but one, and possibly the only, advantage it might offer is that fewer linemen would be needed. Quality linemen are a premium.

I had no idea Jeff destroyed the Jaguars. I was already gone to the Stallions by then. I was never involved withthe Titans. Can't speak for them.

When the Rarey's took over game day operations the Jaguar game experience became 1000x better for the fans. As owner and coach Jeff didn't have time to worry about the perspective of the fans. While an influx of talent from the Jets is the main reason for the sudden success, allowing the coach to focus on coaching was a positive change for the organization.

Thank-you for the kind words John. Our off field staff became a team. We attended staff meeting and worked hard to make semi pro known and a positive fan entertainment experience.
