Okay your wrong. Easy simple data that even a kirby can understand: 11 minus 8 equals 3. 60 players minus 25 players equals 35 less players with less equipment and less uniform expenses. Away game Travel, couple of vans vs. Bus rental and driver. Sharing fields with double headers and sharing ref discounts. Answer: Less expensive. Anything more?

Everything after 11-8=3 seemed arbitrary. What semi-pro team has 60 players? 40 at a game is a lot. How many semi-pro teams rent buses or vans? Sharing fields and refs ... that would apply to both 11 and 8 man, assuming the bastard refs would give a discount.

refs dont give discounts , its based off hours worked. Again it all comes down to sharing fields, which is not going to happen. Noone is right. Average team has about 30 on a team. So there goes that arguement. How many teams supply all the equipment. The monarchs dont supply any shoulder pads or helmets although we have a few sets to lend out. Also you must be a horrible at creating budgets. If you are field sharing and doing double headers than the line item of bus rental is negated. So with those numbers and figures into account, show me how 8 man is cheaper than 11man.

So if you're playing 8 instead of 11 with the same size field and traveling, how is that cheaper??? LOL... With more players (players fees), wouldn't it be cheaper to play then with less because you would have to pay more for traveling, equip, etc.?

Real FB players don't want to play 8-man outdoors. Heck, they don't really want to play indoors other than for the money, which is chump change. So called fans are not going to want to watch 8-man outdoor football because it's not real football.
If the WWFA went to 8-man it would cease to exist. The argument for is simply ridiculous.

I would like to see the teams combine with the pfl teams. Then you could have a solid north and, well, I guess from what I read on here just have the monarchs. Kings of the semi pro!

Lot's of predictions. Its good to see this discussion. Thank you.
Clearly we have non owners here putting in their two cents worth. Ever rented a bus and driver? You would not need a bus or vans if you played Puget Sound 8 man. Travel costs would be reduced. With inflation and travel costs were talking huge savings over time.
Again if the WWFA went to 8 men then your saying no one would play football. LOL!
Its good to see just a hand full of guys from all over the NW speak for the Puget Sound area. 8 man may not work for example in the greater Salem area because...URCH.... Ummmm..... wait a second they have a Nine Man League there. Do guys play there?
Yes some teams have 40 players some teams have more. But you still need an inventory of 60 Helmets, Pads and Uniforms for 11 man football. Because of wear and tare replacement Uniforms happen more often and when equipment is its broke or stolen. Expensive. If you had an inventory of 30 thats less costly and twice as easy to keep and inventory of because your roster is smaller.
You can negotiate with the head officiating associations and strike a bargain deal if you have double headers or triple header games because the refs do not have to travel all over to do more than one game. All games in in one location. Jr Football has 5 to 6 games all day long on Saturday and Sunday in one location. Do you really believe they pay full price for refs at every game?
Oh and I forgot to mention the Seattle area has Emerald Downs and the Sounders for fans to be drawn too.

That would be cool yes if it would be fair. One league only would eventually lead to a Dictatorship. I think its better with more than one league. This brings out competition between leagues to make their league better than the other.

Let's look at the breakdown;
Gear- Each player supplies there own. Playing with 8 instead of 11 means fewer on a team which also equals less revenue when collecting player fees and makes paying for the field and refs that more difficult. Final point it does not look like anyone is interested in this...

One league only would eventually lead to a Dictatorship. Only if the owners were sheople and allowed it.
