I agree. I listened to the game over the internet and it sounded like a bunch of garbage. Different culture to the team from what we built in 2006-2008. The core of that team who were the leaders are gone...most of whom came from colleges and weren't exposed to minor league football before. Seems the 2011 version has a few too many guys who were indoctrinated with other teams and think it's cool to be that way. When Maty and I ran the show players like that would have been told to get down the road. We didn't tolerate any BS. Been hearing that even have guys playing with no decals on their helmet, different colored facemasks, all that kind of stuff we hated seeing when we ran the team. Sad to say, but the old Shockers and the traditions have gone away along with the people who cared about the image of the team. I gotta concur. The old Shockers were a well coached, scrappy bunch that was well disciplined...

I'm sure if there are any good video shots on some incidents they can be taken to Ipo and Heath. There is a probation list for a reason and permanent expulsion for repeat offenders is on the books in the PFL. When we had the team we played hard smash-mouth football, but hatchet-men and thug players were sent packing long before they were issued a uniform. I'm curious to hear from guys on the other teams (Kitsap, Bearcats, Vipers, Warriors, Mavericks)...did they have a similar experience? Or do alot of the current Colts and Shockers know each other from the Tacoma-area or history elsewhere? I can't imagine there could be too much carryover from the old PNFC days since most of those guys have retired, just curious why this game boiled over but we never heard much from the other games. We had no issues like this during our game with the Shockers. D

I thought teams were going to be fined for uniforms differences. Ive seen the helmet/facemask issue on several teams and ive also seen the tinted and mirrored visors. What happened to enforcing these rules and fines? Ive also heard of players being allowed to play on teams when they another team in the league money. Seems like the same ol shady stuff. All those issues are being reported by the refs each week to the league in their weekly reports. They gave teams a few weeks to work out the facemask issue and send in the paperwork for those that really need them. Same with the uniform issues. Also they just handed out fines for the facemask issue(s) to 6 teams. I assure you the league is aware of the issues and working towards resolving them. All of this stuff is being handled at the ownership level. So before you start rumors about "Seems like the same ol shady stuff" you might want to talk with an owner, or the league reps. Thanks, D

There's no way this should be allowed to stand. The refs are the only people profiting from this and now they get to play judge and jury as well? If the league fucks the teams based on the word of profiteers this league won't last. The owners understand when being screwed on the field by these amateurs but should not stand for being screwed in the wallet as well. Owners sacrifice too much to allow the league to put these unaccountable clowns in charge.

Every owner knows what is allowed and what isn't. Especially regarding the facemask issue as it is/was a hot topic every time it came up at a meeting. Plain and simple clear facemasks are the only ones that are allowed. 4 weeks of reporting, with a consistent failure to follow the above rule and something had to be done. Now i am not just an outsider looking in on this issue. We were one of the six fined for this. And I have no one to blame but us. As an owner we knew they weren't allowed, we got one player to remove his but dropped the ball on the other. Hence we deal with the repercussions. I completely disagree with the redirected anger at the refs though. I am not saying they are perfect, but it seems a little uncalled for. D

The teams should have been notified after the first report so they could handle or dispute it. Apparently they weren't.
Teams should have been notified which player and which game.
It would have been easier and more professional for the refs to tell the coach at the game rather instead of being underhanded about it.
If you see a problem bring it to someone's attention and give them a chance to fix it. This is akin to grade-school level tattling. This is city government screwing with the length of yellow lights to get more revenue out of red light cameras.
Teams should NOT pay these fines without being told which player violated the rule.
I have little respect for any owner who pays a fine without more information. That owner has too much money or too little cahonies.

Other teams did not and are still wondering which phantom tinted visors they paying for. I completely disagree with the redirected anger at the refs though. I am not saying they are perfect, but it seems a little uncalled for. The refs are being paid. 99% of participants who profit from this league are referees. We should expect more professionalism out of them, not a grade school tattling mentality.

The email on Friday stated the issue, the way to resolve it. And that fines that would be handed out if there were more reports this weekend. And listed a phone number as well as email to talk if you had questions.
If you didn't know, then the question is did you ask?

Refs need to police games and not be afraid to boot somebody out. Set example by doing so. Coaches need to control their players and be held accountable for their actions. Players need to influence their teammates and lead by example not engage in wrongful activity.
This should be a general guideline we all could live by. Remember we all have lives outside of this and it's only a game when the final whistle blows.
